The feud between Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie is getting nastier as rumors fly that Paris’ hard partying and jealousy killed their friendship.
Friends of Nicole say Paris, 24, “has been partying for two months straight” and is “usually out of it,” driving Nicole away.
“Paris’ wild ways have been getting to Nic,” says one source close to Nicole, 23. “She’s complained to lots of us, beginning months ago. She let everyone know she couldn’t be bothered with Paris anymore, couldn’t stand to be around her and didn’t want to do the show anymore. Nic complained that Paris was way out of control.”
Further fueling the fire is Paris’ jealousy over Nicole’s sudden star turn. “Nicole lost weight, got engaged and is crazy in love,” a friend of hers says. “Paris can’t stand it.” As a result of Paris’ wild behavior, sources say she’s lost many of her old friends - except for Rod Stewart’s daughter Kimberley, 25, who she’s touting as Nicole’s replacement. “It’s no wonder: Stewart is just like her,” the source laughs. “It’s like she wants to be Paris and imitates her all of the time - from the sayings [’That’s hot!’] to the way she dresses, walks and carries on.”
