“Author Dharma Windham has written a new book about Cleopatra that equates the Queen of the Nile to today’s social royalty Paris Hilton.

Windham, who spells the great lady of Egypt’s name as “Kleopatra” for historical reasons, also mentions Marie Antoinette as regal trendsetter of ages past on par with Hilton.

“They’re each famous for their extravagant displays of wealth, and as movers and shakers who boasted an adoring public, even though they’re separated by about 20 centuries,” said Windham, a scholar of Hellenistic and Egyptian magic and religion.”

‘Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton sure know how to keep their names in the press. The latest round in their never-ending feud has us wondering if these gals are playing a big joke on the gossips.

The latest incident, which was at its peak on Saturday and seemed to have concluded with a friendly car ride on Sunday, began on Wednesday night at Teddy’s in Los Angeles. According to a source for Perez Hilton, Lohan had it out for Hilton’s new BFF, Britney Spears. When the fiery actress learned that Paris and Britney were also at the club, she decided to blast Kevin Federline’s CD in her car. Her K-Fed fandom made its way back to Britney, who then made her revenge by giving Lindsay the cold shoulder inside the hotspot.’

‘According to IMDB.com, Paris Hilton regurgitated on stage as she attempted to lip sync to one of her own songs.

The incident, which took place at a Los Angeles nightclub, was witnessed by singer Joshua Radin, who was there to watch rapper Jay-Z perform.

Radin wrote about it on his MySpace site. He wrote: “Paris, who had been swilling straight vodka from (a) Grey Goose bottle for hours, gets up on stage, has the people in charge throw her ‘record’ on the house stereo for her to lip sync two of her songs. She gets up on the stage, pukes, leaves…”’

“Paris Hilton is reportedly trying to distance herself from her latest film National Lampoon’s Pledge This because she doesn’t want it to damage her reputation.

An inside source told the New York Post’s PageSix: “The premiere was supposed to have been on October 11th in Chicago, but Paris called at the last minute and canceled, claiming she had to promote her album.””

‘Paris Hilton claimed former beauty queen Shanna Moakler punched her in the face at a nightclub on Wednesday night in Los Angeles, according to Hilton’s publicist and police.

Moakler said Hilton’s ex-boyfriend Starvos Niarchos attacked her, bending her wrists, poured a drink on her, and shoved her down the stairs, Moakler publicist Susan Madore said told the Associated Press.

Police Officer Karen Smith told the AP both Moakler and Hilton filed police reports alleging battery.’
