‘Microsoft’s handheld operating system has turned five and has a great memory.
It’s been five years since the first Microsoft-powered Pocket PCs were released, but not a lot has changed in that time. Of course, that’s because they were already so capable to start with.
Right from the beginning, these handheld computers had features that were previously unheard of in a personal digital assistant (PDA), such as full-colour screens, faster processors and impressive functions such as synchronising with Outlook data on the desktop and the ability to create and edit Word and Excel files.’
