Pope likely to be readmitted to hospital
‘Pope John Paul II was likely to be readmitted to hospital next week to check the tube that was placed in his windpipe in February and readjust his diet, the Milan daily Corriere Dell Sera said.
The newspaper said the 84-year-old pontiff was suffering from “serious problems in swallowing” and that he required examinations for which the equipment was not available in the Vatican.
It would be the third time this year that the Pope had been admitted to the Gemelli Hospital near the Vatican, following a bout of influenza accompanied by severe respiratory problems.’
