PCWorld has retested the Brother MFC-8840DN. This is a network compatible multifunction printer and it gets high grades.

The MFC-8840DN comes with 32MB of memory, expandable to 160MB. It can hold 300 sheets of letter- or legal-size paper; and for $140 more, you can add a 250-sheet paper tray.

Upshot: Lots of office-oriented features, quick performance, and high-quality printing make the MFC-8840DN a great workhorse for busy offices.

I have used this printer in an office setting and I have no complaints about it. Some times multifunction can fit into any small office, and medium sized offices.
