Lexmark C522n wins PCMag Editors’ Choice Award
From the news release:
PC Magazine, a leading technology publication, recently gave the Lexmark C522n its highest product award, designating it as the newest Editors’ Choice in the personal color laser printer segment.
The Lexmark C522n is a networked, color laser printer that delivers 20 pages-per-minute performance for both color and black and white documents. With an estimated street price of only $499, it is ideal for not only personal users, but also enterprise workgroups or small office users that need fast, high quality color output at an affordable price.
“This inexpensive color laser printer offers great performance, excellent text output, and good graphics and photo quality,” PC Magazine said. “It even includes an Ethernet connection for easy sharing over a network, and it’s priced right for a personal color laser. The optional 500-sheet paper tray ($299) boosts capacity to an ample 750 sheets, letting this printer function as the workhorse in a small office.”
“Performance is one of the best arguments for this printer,” PC Magazine said, noting that the Lexmark C522n completed the test suite in only 11 minutes and 19 seconds. By comparison, the HP Color LaserJet 2600n took 21 minutes and 9 seconds to finish the same test.
“To get faster output, you have to move up to pricier printers,” PC Magazine said, adding praise for the Lexmark C522n’s impressive text quality. “On our tests, text was excellent - easily good enough for anything you might want to throw at the printer,” PC Magazine said.
“The Lexmark C522n was designed to offer big-business performance and a space-saving design at an affordable price,” said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its Printing Solutions and Services Division. “We are pleased to receive this important recognition.”
