Futuristic Robot Roller Coaster Wows Crowds
‘RoboCoaster G2, a new robotic roller coaster ride promising to change the face of amusement park rides, was unveiled today to amusement park executives in Orlando, Florida.
Each RoboCoaster G2 car is a ‘robot’, able to spin, loop, and move in ways that are not possible with traditional linked cars. A full-size model was showcased today for the first time, at the convention for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the amusement industry’s largest gathering worldwide.
RoboCoaster G2 is the second generation of the ride; it was created by RoboCoaster Ltd and is manufactured by roller coaster builder AMEC and robot manufacturer KUKA Roboter. "We have been breaking new ground with advanced robotics in the entertainment industry since we started. By combining forces with KUKA Roboter and AMEC, we now have the ability to develop truly outstanding attractions, the likes of which have never been seen," remarks Gino De-Gol, President of RoboCoaster Ltd.’
