Robot makes Diagnosis
‘A robot named “Aida” will automatically formulate an appropriate diagnosis for headaches, based on the clinical characteristics of every single patient. This creature will become the doctor’s aide. The novelty was presented at the 1st National Congress for the Italian Neurological Association for Headache Research, founded by prof. Vincenzo Bonavita, on “Headaches and Neurology” currently in progress in Monza until tomorrow and set up by Roberto De Simone, Director of the Headache Centre at the University Federico II of Naples. The experiment with “Aida” will start in the next few days and will be evaluated at a national level to confirm the accurate diagnosis confronted with traditional methods of the patient being interviewed by the doctor himself and the improvement of time it takes to gather a clinical diagnosis, as well as the usefulness also on the part of the doctors with little computer knowledge.’
