Toyota Robots Bring Hope To Elderly & Disabled People
‘Most of the elderly or disabled visitors to the Toyota Pavillion at the just-concluded 2005 Aichi Expo near Nagoya must have come off encouraged and inspired by the automobile giant’s future generation products under its theme of “movement is life”.
There could be some among the legions of Japan’s affluent post-war baby-boomers and soon-to-be-retirees who might even want these concept vehicles and partner robots in their homes right now.
And why not?
These concept products produced by Toyota are aimed at expanding the freedom of movement as they hold the promise of “driving where you want” and “how you want”, which are useful for people whose mobility has been impaired.’
