The Howard Stern Factor

iMedia Connection have an interesting article about how Howard Stern’s move to Sirius will boost subscriptions and make some interesting points about Stern’s move from terrestrial radio to satellite radio when compared with Opie & Anthony’s launch on XM.
Both shows have raised the FCC’s hackles and both are aimed at young to middle aged men.

Hitwise Traffic For Satellite Radio Searches

Internet statistic analysis and tracking company Hitwise has reported that in the week ending December 17th, 2005 that searches containing the word “SIRIUS” were up 78 percent compared to the week before Thanksgiving (The week ending November 19) while the share of searches containing “XM” were only up 13 percent over the same period.
