Voice-Driven Satellite Radio Service on the way from XM
VoiceBox Technologies Inc and XM Satellite Radio have announced a strategic partnership to develop and deliver a voice enabled platform for their burgeoning automotive partnerships. The concept is to provide drivers with a “say it” and “get it” scenario enabling them to access any of XM Radio’s 160 digital entertainment channels just by talking.
It is expected that this technology will be available to automobile manufacturers in the middle of 2006 meaning the technology should be at retail Q3/Q4 2006.
