No wonder she’s laughing so hard… We’ve got used to seeing uninhibited couple Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise cuddling and joking together in public, but this time it’s a wee bit different, with screen idol Tom looking decidedly scruffy in a beanie hat and geekie specs.
But Katie doesn’t mind. After all, love is love, and in any case, she and Tom were larking around on a film set, so of course he’s going to look different. The 26-year-old Batman Begins actress was visiting her fiancé while he films Mission Impossible III in Los Angeles.
Judging by their exuberant hugs and giggles at coffee-break time, the high-profile twosome are just as at ease in each other’s company on set as on the red carpet.
And being so fond of a joke, they’ll probably both be amused to hear that Tom’s famous declaration of love on Oprah Winfrey’s chat show, when he jumped on her sofa to express his euphoria, has given rise to a new slang phrase.
To “jump the couch” is now defined by urbandictionary.com as, “The defining moment when you know someone has gone off the deep end. Inspired by Tom Cruise’s behaviour on Oprah.”
