Interoperability to delay VoIP?
Voice-over-Internet protocol (VoIP) is set for rapid expansion but is also held back by lack of interoperability, according to Intel.
Over the next five years there will be rapid migration to adopting VoIP just to lower cost, said Wolfgang Moeseneder, network architect of the mobility group at Intel.
But the lack of interoperability today is great. Its an opportunity for us to bring everyone together and drive interoperability. Voice will be a crucial part of our platforms, said Moeseneder.
